Holidays mean total different things for many people. There is no right and false meaning, just whatever fits on each one. The new trend of relaxation industry in Greece is giving us options to revitalise your body, your soul and your health. Insight Holidays provides a holistic approach, weaving together the Enneagram System of Personality, the breath work of Kundalini yoga, and delicious, nourishing meals to deliver you a special and unique holiday.
Much more than your typical yoga or meditation retreat, Insight Holidays delivers tools and training to take forward into your life after the holiday ends. They offer their retreats in beautiful locations where the classroom is often a sunny beach, which it doesn’t sound bad, does it?
There is no issue with the level of your physical ability and the level of knowledge of the Enneagram, Kundalini yoga.
Enneagram: As most of us experience, interpersonal relationships are both the most satisfying and frustrating element of our lives. Our understanding of ourselves can be even more challenging. Our foundational retreats give you the opportunity to expand your understanding through the Enneagram system of personality. Stemming from the Greek words ennea (nine) and grammos (a written symbol), the nine-pointed Enneagram symbol represents nine distinct strategies for relating to the self, others and the world. Each Enneagram type has a different pattern of thinking, feeling and acting that arises from a deeper inner motivation or worldview.
Kundalini yoga: Kundalini yoga uses a series of asanas, meditations, active and passive kriya sequences, pranayama, and control of the body to empower personal change and improve physical and mental health. Practitioners call Kundalini yoga “the yoga of awareness” because it focuses on the expansion of sensory awareness and intuition in order to raise individual consciousness.
Meals and live food: The meals at the foundational retreats highlight raw food recipes. Raw food means the food is never heated above 118 degrees Fahrenheit/47 degrees Celcius. The benefits of raw food are many including a boost in your energy, more peaceful sleep, increased mental clarity, and for many, a general sense of peace, happiness, and well being. Many of our meals are based on recipes by Flora Papadopoulou, one of the leading raw food chefs in Greece and author of Mediterranean Goes Raw.
