Updated on 18/02/2023. If you have read Koufonisia’s travel guide, you will already know that this island has become one of my favourites in Greece!
It is a small and beautiful island, with crystal waters and amazing and incredible beaches!
If you want to read more about the island, you can check here our dedicated travel guide about Koufonisia islands!
Update: Due to Coronavirus, it might be another “special” summer. We wrote an article (more information here!) where we explain the current measures and situation and we will update it as often as possible.
Where to stay
Finding accommodation in the Koufonisia islands can be quite challenging especially during the high season. The island is quite small and there are not so many hotels and rooms on the island compared to the visitors.
Therefore, my advice is that you should try to book a room as early as possible or visit the island off-peak! We have visited it at the beginning of September and we totally enjoy it!
Before starting the list just bear in mind that Koufonisia is a complex of three different islands!
Ano Koufonisi, Kato Koufonisi and Keros! Only Ano Koufonisi is Inhabited and all the accommodation would be on the main and only village of the island!
Kato Koufonisi used to be a paradise of free campers in the past years but recently they have been chased away from the island. There is a space in Kato Koufonisi next to taverna Venetsanos that you can camp there in a more organised and safe space next to taverna of the island but maybe it would be a good idea to check with them before going there.
Now, let’s check the list of the best hotels and apartments in Koufonisia!
